Happy Mother’s Day mamas!
Anniversaries, milestones and holidays always come with mixed emotions for our family. In fact, probably for most families.
Today I paid more attention to each detail in my children. They gave me extra kisses. My husband was very sweet with breakfast and kind gestures. Avery sang me “Happy Mother’s Day to Mama” in the same tune as “Happy Birthday”. Leo let me sing to him as he stared into my eyes. Paul and Avery hugged me as I touched Whitney’s grave with Leo in my arms. For that moment, we all connected in a special way, the five of us.
So, although my morning was a little anxious and I experienced tears that always bring me to my knees, it was a very good day because I am blessed. I look into the eyes of my husband, daughter and son and I know that motherhood is truly a privilege. I know Whitney makes it all happen. Thank you angel!
Lastly, Happy Mother’s Day to a mother who gave me the strength to survive my tragedies and courage to accomplish my goals! Love you!
