You may have seen me mention kombu in my recipes especially my Brazilian Black Beans.
What is kombu? Kombu is seaweed.
What are the benefits? Kombu adds minerals to your food AND makes your beans easier to digest.
What do I do with it? When cooking your dry beans or any soup, add a piece of kombu to it.
What does it look like? It generally comes dried in a package. Break off a piece and toss it in your food when cooking.
Will it make my food taste fishy? No, it won’t change the flavor.
Kombu will add minerals to your food and less gas to your belly. Try it!
